Plows make progress

Snow plows have cleared streets on the South Hill and the were continuing to work neighborhoods on Spokane’s North side. Progress might be slowed during the night as plow drivers return to arterial streets and remove newly fallen snow. Garbage pickup will resume Monday in the city, according to a press release. People are asked to put garbage containers in accessible areas. Plow crews will arrive in the Brownes Addition Tuesday and Wednesday. Residents of the neighborhood must move their cars from the streets or they will be towed. Cars left in metered parking spots will be ticketed beginning Monday.
