Grocery stores restocking

Safeway and Albertson’s grocery stores have been slow getting supplies, but officials are telling shoppers not to fret. Spokane-area Albertson’s got a fresh shipment from their Portland distributors on Tuesday after Monday’s shipment was cancelled, said spokeswoman Donna Eggers. “So the shipments are getting through, just not as quickly or as completely as usual.” Also, “our stores are able to transfer product among stores,” Eggers said. Mike Fuhrman, Safeway’s distribution manager for the Spokane area, said the stores played catch up on Tuesday, but are fine at this point.
