Reardan loses but still wins

Sometimes you win, even when you lose. The Reardan Indians discovered that on Friday night.

When St. John-Endicott couldn’t make it to Reardan for the Lions Christmas Tournament, the West Valley Eagles filled in.

However, West Valley’s varsity only had one open date on its schedule.

So, despite the Eagles’ Jordan Lupfer-Graham and Adam Jones scoring 16 points apiece to give West Valley a 63-42 boys basketball victory over Reardan, it’s the tournament host Indians who will move on to face the Chewelah Cougars in the championship game of the tournament.

West Valley (4-1) will send its junior varsity team to Reardan to face the Wellpinit Redskins in the consolation game.

Chace Bell scored 11 to lead Reardan (1-4).
