Spokane plows returning to residential streets

The Spokesman-Review
Spokane plows are finishing up emergency routes and arterials and are starting another pass through residential areas today, according to a city press release. The plows will work hilly areas in northwest Spokane and west of town before moving to parts of the South Hill and flatter areas, city spokeswoman Marlene Feist said in a news release. Crews will generally move from west to east in north and south Spokane, the release said. Residents who find snow pushed into their driveways are asked to wait for two plows to pass before digging out. Download the latest plowing status maps at www.spokanestreetdepartment.org/snowplow.htm. City garbage collection continues. If customers are missed, they can put out twice their usual amount next week, the release said. Customers with alley pickup are asked to move their containers to the street.
