Food for Fines in Whitman County

Library users at all 14 branches can exchange nonperishable food donations of equal or greater value for up to $10 in outstanding library fines. All food will be collected during the month of February and distributed to the food bank in the community where it is collected. Main branch is Colfax Library, 102 S. Main St.

A Taste of Hope

Benefit dinner hosted by The Isaac Foundation. Funds raised benefit therapy grants for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. The foundation was founded after the death of 3-year-old Isaac Dennis Lytle, who was diagnosed with autism when he was 18 months old.

Downtown Chocolate Walk

Pretty in Pink ‘80s Prom Fundraiser

Raising money for the 2008 Seattle Breast Cancer Three-Day walk in September. A local team will take part in a three-day, 60-mile walk benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. Dancing provided by Memorable Events.

Art on the Edge mARTi gras

Winter Blues Festival which includes blues artists from across the Northwest at four intimate venues inside Coeur d’Alene Resort. Proceeds benefit the Art on the Edge, a nonprofit organization operated through St. Vincent de Paul that offers free art classes to area youth.

“Ballet Romantica”

Guest speaker is Kellie Lim, who at 8 years old lost three limbs to bacterial meningitis, but didn’t give up her dream to become a pediatrician. Benefiting Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital, to expand the pediatric emergency center.
