In brief: EVSD to host open houses
The East Valley School District will host open houses at three schools slated for improvements under the $33 million bond issue on the March 11 ballot.
The schools – Otis Orchards Elementary and East Valley and Mountain View middle schools – are all slated for complete modernization. The work will include technology and mechanical upgrades. In addition, the bond would also pay for technology, communication and security systems upgrades at each elementary school.
The open house at Mountain View Middle School, 6011 N. Chase Road, will be from 1 to 2 p.m. and 6 to 7 Monday. The open houses at Otis Orchards Elementary, 22000 E. Wellesley Ave., and East Valley Middle School, 4920 N. Progress Road, will be from 1 to 2 p.m. and 6 to 7 Tuesday.
Voters are invited to attend and see examples of needed work that would be paid for by the bond if it passes.
