CCS men use balanced attack in win over Chukars

Eric Beal scored 16 points and Jon Clift and Kyle Turpin added 14 each as the Community Colleges of Spokane beat Treasure Valley 92-59 in a NWAACC game Saturday at Spokane Community College.

Bo Gregg chipped in 13 points and Jordan Gregg and Kevin Cameron added 10 apiece for the Sasquatch.

CCS improved to 22-1 and 10-0 in the NWAACC while the Chukars fell to 9-14, 6-5.

•Garold Howe scored a game-high 27 points on 8-of-10 shooting and pulled down nine rebounds to lead Pacific to an 85-76 Northwest Conference victory over Whitworth at the Pacific Athletic Center in Forest Grove, Ore.

Donn Harrison-Davis chipped in 19 points and Joe Van Domelen added 18 for the Boxers, who led 41-33 at the half.

Ryan Symes made 14 of 16 free throws and finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Pirates.

Whitworth fell to 15-6 and 8-4 in the Northwest Conference while Pacific improved to 8-13 and 6-6.

•DaVell Jackson scored 15 points and Brian Green added 13 as Salt Lake used a strong second-half effort to defeat North Idaho 62-48 in a Scenic West Athletic Conference game in Coeur d’Alene.

The Bruins outscored the Cardinals 33-20 in the second half after leading by one at halftime.

Melvin Jones had a game-high 16 points and Humberto Perez added 12 to lead North Idaho.

NIC fell to 16-8 and 1-8 in conference play while Salt Lake improved to 23-1, 8-1.
