Religion notebook: Zion Lutheran plans Mystery Dinner Theater

Zion Lutheran Church is inviting the community to a family friendly Mystery Dinner Theater next Saturday at 4 p.m. The event has a 1950s theme and those attending are encouraged to dress the part.

The drama will play out during dinner and those attending will have a chance to guess who did it before the final scene is performed. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children ages 10 and under. Call 926-5407 for reservations and more information. The church is located at 8304 E. Buckeye.

Be my Valentine

Two Valley churches are hosting belated Valentine’s Day events for those who want a little more special time with their valentine.

“ Opportunity Christian Church will have a Valentine’s spaghetti lunch following the 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday. The event will be hosted by the youth of the church, who are raising money for a youth mission trip. The meal is by donation. The church is located at 708 N. Pines Road.

“ St. Paschal Catholic Church will host a Valentine breakfast from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the basement of St. Paschal School, 2521 N. Park Road. The menu includes pancakes with strawberries, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit and beverages. The meal, hosted by the Knights of Columbus, is by donation.
