Highway crash kills Clarkston couple

Two Clarkston residents died Wednesday after a tractor-trailer collided with their 1993 Subaru Legacy on Highway 26 in Whitman County.

Leslie R. Rosson, 81, and his wife, 77-year-old Lorraine Rosson, were westbound about 10:20 a.m. when a semitrailer driven by Larry A. Meyer, 56, of Endicott, Wash., hit them near Dusty at milepost 122, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The Rossons were pronounced dead at the scene. Meyer was taken to the Whitman Hospital and Medical Center in Colfax with minor injuries.
