Chris Paul had 25 points, 15 assists and three steals to help the New Orleans Hornets end a three-game losing skid with a 120-103 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night in New Orleans.

David West scored 27 points and reserve guard Jannero Pargo added 22 for New Orleans, which shot 53 percent in avoiding its first four-game losing streak of the season.

The Suns continued to struggle since trading Shawn Marion for Shaquille O’Neal, but they couldn’t blame their third loss in five games solely on the veteran 7-foot-1 center, who had 15 points and seven rebounds.

The Hornets were 8 of 15 from 3-point range while outscoring Phoenix 16-12 on the fastbreak and 40-36 inside.

Raptors 107, Timberwolves 85: At Toronto, Chris Bosh scored 28 points, T.J. Ford had 16 and the Raptors beat Minnesota for the eighth straight time.

Andrea Bargnani had 12 and Jamario Moon added 11 for Toronto.

76ers 101, Magic 89: At Philadelphia, Andre Miller scored 22 of his 26 points in the first half and Willie Green had a season-high 26 to lead the Sixers to a victory over Orlando.

Miller and Green, the Sixers’ starting backcourt, outscored Orlando starting guards, Jameer Nelson and Maurice Evans, 52-2. Miller was 11 for 16 from the floor and added nine assists and six rebounds.

Celtics 92, Cavaliers 87: At Boston, LeBron James returned from a first-half ankle injury to score 26 and become the youngest player in NBA history to reach the 10,000-point milestone, but the Celtics got 22 points from Ray Allen to beat Cleveland.

Kevin Garnett scored 18 with 11 rebounds for Boston to help the NBA’s top team win its third straight.

Knicks 113, Bobcats 89: At New York, Nate Robinson scored 22 points, Jamal Crawford added 20, and the Knicks matched their easiest victory of the season by beating Charlotte.

Zach Randolph had 18 points and Quentin Richardson 17 for New York, which is usually on the other end of these types of beatings. But the Knicks blew by banged-up Charlotte after a slow start, getting 25 fast-break points and shooting 51 percent from the floor.

Bulls 113, Pacers 107: At Indianapolis, Larry Hughes had 29 points and Drew Gooden added 10 points and 15 rebounds, helping new-look Chicago to a victory over Indiana.

Luol Deng finished with 16 points and Ben Gordon scored 15 for the Bulls, who won for the first time since acquiring Hughes and Gooden from Cleveland on Feb. 21.

Hawks 123, Kings 117: At Atlanta, Mike Bibby had 24 points and 12 assists in his home debut for the Hawks, leading Atlanta to a win over Sacramento.

Joe Johnson had 26 points to lead the Hawks. Josh Childress had 22 of his 25 points in the second half, hitting all nine of his free-throw attempts.

Jazz 103, Pistons 95: At Salt Lake City, Mehmet Okur scored 11 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter, after Utah had rallied from a 15-point deficit late in the third, and the Jazz beat Detroit.

Paul Millsap scored 19, including 16 in the second half, and led Utah’s comeback. Carlos Boozer added 18 points and 15 rebounds and Deron Willliams had 14 points and 14 assists.

Trail Blazers 82, Clippers 80: At Los Angeles, Jarrett Jack tied a season high with 21 points, scoring 13 of them in the fourth quarter and leading Portland to a victory over the Clippers.

Corey Maggette scored 32 points for Los Angeles, but missed a potential go-ahead basket with 8 seconds remaining. The Clippers lost at home to Portland for the first time in eight tries.
