Heather Bowman and Tiffanie Shives scored 14 points apiece to guide Gonzaga to a 67-43 non-conference win over Saint Joseph’s in a women’s basketball game in Philadelphia.

Vivian Frieson and Michelle Elliott each added 10 points for the Bulldogs (9-6).

The Hawks (7-7) were led by Jenna Loschiavo’s 12 points.

•Laura Dinkins led five players in double figures with a game-high 21 points and Northern Arizona (5-9, 1-0) beat Eastern Washington 82-70 in both teams’ Big Sky Conference opener at Walkup Skydome in Flagstaff, Ariz.

Sydney Benson scored 19 points to lead the Eagles (3-11, 0-1).

•New Mexico State built a big first-half lead and cruised to a 73-61 victory over Idaho in both teams’ Western Athletic Conference opener in Las Cruces, N.M.

Hannah Spanich led four players in double figures with 12 points for the Aggies (10-3, 1-0), who led 39-24 at the half.

Katie Madison had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Vandals (1-12, 0-1).

•Ula Tauala scored 21 points to guide North Idaho to a 75-67 win over the NIC Alumni in the opener of the SWAC Challenge at Christianson Gym in Coeur d’Alene.

The Cardinals (9-3) will play the Washington All-Stars tonight at 7.
