It’s Snow Day at Twinlow Camp

Don’t miss your chance to play in the snow at Twinlow Camp this Saturday.

The Community United Methodist Church of Coeur d’Alene is hosting a Snow Day at the lakeside camp that sits on Lower Twin Lake from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring your sleds, snowshoes, skis and warm clothing for lots of outdoor fun. Then, head inside the lodge to warm up a little and join in the indoor activities, including singing, games, crafts, and an opportunity to work on service projects.

Lunch will be provided by Twinlow staff for $6.50 per adult, $5 per child. Children under age 3 are admitted free. Twinlow Camp is on Twinlow Road in Twin Lakes, off Highway 41. For more information, call 765-8800

New dentist in town

Zach Brumbach is accepting new patients at his full-service dental practice, 609 Calgary Court, Suite 104. The office phone number is 777-1222.

Brumbach performs a spectrum of dental treatment, including cosmetic, restorative and surgical procedures. Brumbach, an Idaho native, graduated in 2002 with honors from Creighton School of Dentistry in Omaha, Neb. He also completed a one-year general dentistry residency at Idaho State University in Pocatello in 2003. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Parks and Rec winter adventure

Join the Post Falls Parks and Recreation staff on a winter adventure to 4th of July Pass for showshoeing on Feb. 9 and cross-country skiing on Feb. 16.

The trips are designed for both inexperienced and experienced snowshoers and skiers. The bus will depart at 9 a.m. from Q’emiln River Side Park parking lot (Post Falls) and will return at approximately 3 p.m. Bring your own lunch , water and your own equipment if you have it.

Registration deadline is Feb. 1 for the Feb. 9 trip, and Feb. 8 for the Feb. 16 trip. To register, call the department at 773-0539 and let them know if you need to rent equipment. Cost is $20 per person with own gear; $27 includes rental equipment. Fee includes staff, round trip transportation, and ski area fees.
