Name: Terry Cavanaugh

Age: 73

Hometown: Buffalo, N.Y. I moved to Wolf Lodge Creek in 1997 and to Dalton Gardens in 2003.

Occupation: I retired as a social studies high school teacher in New York state. And I owned a bed and breakfast at Wolf Lodge Creek for several years.

Family: My husband passed away in 1993. My daughter, Tricia, and her husband, Dave Freeman, live here with their children, Nicholas and Parker.

Hobbies: Reading, enjoying friends, knitting and plenty of volunteer work. I’m the president of the Kootenai Medical Center Auxiliary, and I also volunteer for hospice and the North Idaho Chemo Center, and I help out in the first-grade class my daughter teaches at Borah Elementary.

What do you like about North Idaho? What’s not to like? I love to look at the mountains and the trees.

Favorite music: New age.

Favorite TV show: News, news, news.

Favorite book: “The Lovely Bones” and any kind of history book.

Favorite spot in North Idaho? Why? The land around the Wolf Lodge Creek Bed and Breakfast. It’s surrounded by national forest, and I love to watch the animals and nature’s works.
