Cedric Jackson scored 14 points as Cleveland State, a program in disarray for most of the past 20 years, stunned No. 12 Butler 56-52 on Thursday night at Cleveland for the Vikings’ first regular-season win over an AP Top 25 basketball team.

J’Nathan Bullock added 14 points, the last one coming on a free throw with 2.6 seconds left for the Vikings (13-5, 6-0 Horizon League), whose students stormed the floor after the final horn.

The Vikings came in 1-26 in games against ranked opponents, with their only win coming on March 14, 1986, against No. 16 Indiana in the NCAA tournament under coach Kevin Mackey.

Freshman Matt Howard scored 16 points to lead Butler (16-2, 5-2).

(6) Tennessee 80, (16) Vanderbilt 60: At Knoxville, Tenn., Wayne Chism scored a season-high 18 and had a career-high 18 rebounds to help the Vols beat the Commodores.

Tennessee (15-1, 3-0 Southeastern Conference) was 8 for 22 on 3s, while Vandy (16-2, 1-2) completed only 3 of its 21 tries.

(9) Indiana 65, Minnesota 60: At Minneapolis, D.J. White had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Lance Stemler hit a crucial 3-pointer to lift the Hoosiers to victory over the Gophers.

Louisville 71, (13) Marquette 51: At Louisville, Ky., Terrence Williams scored 20 points and David Padgett had 17 points and 10 rebounds to help the Cardinals (13-4, 3-1 Big East) roll past the Golden Eagles (13-3, 3-2).

(2) Tennessee 65, Kentucky 40: At Lexington, Ky., Candace Parker scored 23 points and the Lady Vols (15-1, 3-0 SEC) weathered a sloppy start to pull away from the Wildcats (8-9, 2-1).

The Lady Vols scored just 27 points in the first half but never trailed, largely because Kentucky’s shooters were worse.

(3) North Carolina 87, Boston College 59: At Chapel Hill, N.C., Cetera DeGraffenreid scored 20 points and the Tar Heels (17-1, 4-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) won their eighth in a row by beating the Eagles (14-5, 2-2).

(7) Stanford 89, Arizona 64: At Tucson, Ariz., Kayla Pedersen matched her season high with 22 points and Candice Wiggins had 12 of her 19 points in the second half, leading the Cardinal (15-3, 5-2 Pac-10) past the Wildcats (6-11, 0-6) .
