Tracy McGrady scored 28 points and took over in the final 90 seconds, helping the Houston Rockets rally to beat host Seattle 109-107 Wednesday night, the SuperSonics’ 12th straight loss.

Nursing a left knee injury, McGrady put together a second half that showed even with one good leg he’s still one of the best in the game. McGrady scored 18 points after halftime and was responsible for Houston’s final eight points, as the Rockets rallied from a 99-89 deficit with 5 minutes left.

Seattle had a final chance to win, but Durant was long with a 26-footer at the buzzer.

Durant led Seattle with 25 points and Wally Szczerbiak added 22 off the bench. Seattle has yet to win in 2008.

Raptors 114, Celtics 112: Jose Calderon converted a go-ahead, three-point play with 10.5 seconds left and finished with 24 points and 13 assists, leading Toronto past host Boston.

Chris Bosh and Anthony Parker scored 23 points apiece for the Raptors, while Kevin Garnett scored 26 for Boston.

Cavaliers 121, Wizards 85: LeBron James scored 23 points, Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 24 going 10 for 10 from the floor and host Cleveland destroyed Washington for its season-high fifth straight victory.

Mavericks 102, Bobcats 95: At Charlotte, N.C., Devin Harris scored 23 points, Josh Howard added 21 points and 12 rebounds and Dallas withstood a late rally to beat the Bobcats.

Timberwolves 117, Suns 107: At Minneapolis, Al Jefferson had a career-high 39 points to go along with 15 rebounds, and Minnesota won two in a row for the first time this season, beating Phoenix.

Magic 112, Grizzlies 85: At Memphis, Tenn., Hedo Turkoglu scored 26 points and made six of Orlando’s team-record 18 3-pointers in a victory over the Grizzlies.

Hornets 96, Trail Blazers 81: Jannero Pargo scored a season-high 24 points in 24 minutes, and host New Orleans extended its season-best winning streak to six games with a victory over Portland.

Bulls 108, Pacers 95: Kirk Hinrich scored a career-high 38 points, and host Chicago beat Indiana even though its two best players were out.

The Bulls learned earlier in the day that forward Luol Deng would miss one to three weeks because of his recurring left Achilles tendinitis. Leading scorer Ben Gordon will also sit out with a sprained right wrist.

Nuggets 107, Hawks 100: Allen Iverson scored 29 points and Linas Kleiza added 23 to lift host Denver, playing without All-Star Carmelo Anthony, to a win over Atlanta.

Spurs 103, Lakers 91: Tim Duncan had 28 points and 17 rebounds to lead host San Antonio over Los Angeles. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 29 points, and Ronny Turiaf added 14 points.

Clippers 111, Kings 85: Chris Kaman grabbed 21 rebounds and scored 20 points – his fifth 20-20 game of his career – and rookie Al Thornton scored 23 to help host Los Angeles take care of Sacramento.

“After griping about each other through the media earlier this week, Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy and owner Donald Sterling spoke on the telephone and apparently patched things up.
