Bjorklund hits career-high 29

University High graduate Angie Bjorklund scored a career-high 29 points, Candace Parker added 24 and No. 2 Tennessee (17-1, 5-0 Southeastern Conference) tied a team record with 13 3-pointers in a 98-55 rout of Arkansas (16-4, 1-4) on Thursday night in Knoxville, Tenn.

The margin of victory was the largest of the season for the Lady Vols, who shot 50 percent from the field and 43.3 percent from behind the arc.

Bjorklund tied Tennessee’s 3-point record for the third time this season, hitting 7 of 16.

Bjorklund got hot in the first half, sinking 6 of 8 from the field and 5 of 7 from 3-point range.

(9) LSU 79, Auburn 59: At Auburn, Ala., Sylvia Fowles had 22 points and 10 rebounds and Quianna Chaney made six 3-pointers and had 21 points to lead the Lady Tigers (15-3, 4-0 SEC) to a victory over Auburn (13-6, 1-3).

(4) Duke 81, Virginia Tech 64: At Blacksburg, Va., Kyle Singler scored 10 of his 16 points during an 18-9 run to help the Blue Devils (16-1, 4-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) defeat the Hokies (11-8, 2-3).

(10) Michigan St. 78, Northwestern 62: At Evanston, Ill., Raymar Morgan scored 23 points, Drew Neitzel added 20, and the Spartans (17-2, 5-1 Big Ten) delivered one of their best shooting performances of the season in a victory over the Wildcats (6-10, 0-6).

(15) Butler 63, Loyola 50: At Indianapolis, reserve forward Pete Campbell scored 15 points, and Mike Green added 13 to lead the Bulldogs (18-2, 7-2 Horizon League) past the Ramblers (6-13, 2-7).

J.R. Blount had 16 points to lead Loyola.

(23) Xavier 69, (16) Dayton 43: At Cincinnati, Stanley Burrell scored 13 points to help the Musketeers (16-4, 4-1 Atlantic 10) set up a victory over the Flyers (14-3, 2-2).
