Bible workshop

Author and pastor Daniel Erlander will present a two-day workshop on “Flying Through the Bible with Wit and Whimsy” beginning Friday.

The Western Washington-based Erlander is being hosted by the Spokane Valley Cluster of the Eastern Washington/North Idaho Lutheran Synod.

The first session is Friday at 7 p.m. at West Valley High School, 8301 E. Buckeye Ave. There will also be sessions at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. next Saturday at the school. The cost is $5, which includes lunch.

Erlander is the author of several books, including “Baptized, We Live,” “Manna & Mercy” and “It’s All About Love.”

Family fun

Zion Lutheran Church, 8304 E. Buckeye Ave., will host a build-your-own pizza party after the 10:45 a.m. service Sunday.

Families can choose their favorite topping to create their own pizza. The suggested donation is $2 per person or $5 per family.
