Daniel Erlander presents Bible workshop

Author and pastor Daniel Erlander will be presenting a two-day workshop on “Flying Through the Bible with Wit and Whimsy” beginning Friday. The Western Washington-based author is being hosted by the Spokane Valley Cluster of the Eastern Washington/North Idaho Lutheran Synod.

The first session is Friday at 7 p.m. at West Valley High School, 8301 E. Buckeye Ave. There will also be sessions at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. next Saturday, at the school. The cost is $5, which includes lunch.

Family fun

Zion Lutheran Church will host a build your own pizza party after the 10:45 a.m. service on Sunday. Families can choose their favorite topping to create their own pizza. The suggested donation is $2 per person or $5 per family. The church is at 8304 E. Buckeye Ave.
