Cardinals 7, Mets 1: At St. Louis, Kyle Lohse allowed an unearned run in seven innings for his seventh straight win and Albert Pujols had two hits and two RBIs in the Cardinals’ victory over New York. Chris Duncan added a two-run homer and Aaron Miles had three hits while extending his hitting streak to 12 games.

Reds 4, Pirates 3: At Cincinnati, Ken Griffey Jr. hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning rallying the Reds over Pittsburgh.

Marlins 6, Nationals 5 (10): At Miami, Josh Willingham hit a game-winning home run in the 10th inning after Hanley Ramirez’s tying homer in the ninth forced extra innings and Florida rallied to beat Washington.

Astros 4, Dodgers 1: At Houston, Roy Oswalt struck out nine in six strong innings, and then left with an apparent injury in the Astros’ win over Los Angeles. Oswalt allowed a run and six hits.

Diamondbacks 6, Brewers 3: At Phoenix, Mark Reynolds homered, doubled twice and drove in three runs, and Arizona beat Milwaukee. Stephen Drew added two doubles and Augie Ojeda tripled and singled.

Padres 15, Rockies 8: At Denver, Edgar Gonzalez’s second homer of the game capped San Diego’s seven-run ninth inning as the Padres ended their eight-game losing streak with a victory over Colorado.

Cubs 9, Giants 2: At San Francisco, Mark DeRosa hit a grand slam and also a two-run homer to match his career high with six RBIs and Ted Lilly pitched eight shutout innings to help Chicago beat the Giants.
