People: They really are a bunch of dopes

Hollywood has a serious drug problem and isn’t committing the time it takes to fix it, says Dr. Drew Pinsky.

Not only are substances plentiful and socially acceptable in most celebrity circles, but stars who seek treatment often opt for abbreviated programs in exclusive environments, says Pinsky, host of VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab.”

Pinsky presents his findings in the hourlong “VH1 News Presents: Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Addiction Special,” tonight at 10.

“Today, in the celebrity world, we’re seeing an addiction epidemic,” he says.

“If you had cancer, you would drop everything. You would take whatever time it needed to do the treatment and do what it takes to get out on the other side.

“Here’s a disease that is more dangerous, and we can’t get people to take three months.”

Won’t walk that way

There was more to Steven Tyler‘s rehab stint last month than he originally let on.

The Aerosmith frontman said he sought the “safe environment” of rehab to recover from foot surgery, but now admits he was fighting a dependency on pain and sleep medication.

“To have your feet done, to have your leg done, you have to be on narcotics,” says Tyler, 60. “You have to be on sleep aids at night. …

“I was off and running, and I didn’t like the me that was me.”

Call her Amy Roundhouse

Amy Winehouse, temporarily sidelined with lung problems from smoking cigarettes and crack cocaine, was back in fighting form at London’s Glastonbury music festival.

After taking the stage Saturday, Winehouse climbed down and scuffled briefly with a reveler. Witnesses said a fan tried to grab her.

Mango, Uma! Uma, Mango!

Finally, on the celebrity matrimonial front, former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Chris Kattan has tied the knot with model Sunshine Tutt after dating her for three years.

And Uma Thurman is engaged to financier Arpad “Arki” Busson. Thurman, 38, filed for divorce from Ethan Hawke in 2004 and was previously married to Gary Oldman.

Busson has two sons with Elle Macpherson.
