In brief: Motorcycle crash closes westbound I-90
A motorcycle collision closed all three westbound lanes of Interstate 90 near the Freya Street exit Wednesday, causing significant traffic delays. The collision occurred about 8:15 p.m. As of press time, officials had no estimate of when the lanes would reopen.
Traffic was being diverted onto Second Avenue.

Police seeking three in South Hill robbery
Police are searching for three men who forced their way into a South Hill home and robbed the residents at gunpoint about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The victims told police three men rushed into the home in the 400 block of East 26th Avenue and assaulted one resident while demanding money and belongings.
One of the men apparently had a gun. All the victims complied with the robbers’ orders, Spokane police Officer Teresa Fuller said. The robbers then left the home.
The victim who was assaulted suffered minor injuries.
The robbers were described as black males. One appeared to be in his 20s and stood about 5-foot-7. He was wearing a red T-shirt and long black shorts, Fuller said.
The second man was about 6 feet tall and 250 pounds with a heavy build. The victims could offer no further description of the third man, Fuller said.

Sheriff’s detectives seize drugs, money
Spokane County sheriff’s detectives seized more than 5 pounds of harvested marijuana and more than $35,000 in suspected drug profits Wednesday after raiding an apartment on Spokane’s North Side.
Richard J. Ludvik, 46, went to jail on a single count of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, according to a news release. Sgt. Dave Reagan, Sheriff’s Office spokesman, said the suspect faces numerous felony drug counts based on undercover drug purchases that led to the raid.
Detectives raided the apartment at 218 E. Nora around 8 a.m. Wednesday and arrested Ludvik without incident. Children’s toys were scattered around the living room, and investigators learned the suspect’s grandchild sometimes stayed in the home from which drugs were allegedly sold.
Ludvik remained in the Spokane County Jail on Wednesday.

Woman injured in ATV rollover
A 42-year-old woman sustained head injuries after rolling her ATV northwest of Spirit Lake around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday.
After searching the area near Road 41 on Inland Empire Paper property, emergency crews found Bethann K. Wilson, of Spirit Lake. A preliminary investigation found Wilson was riding alone when she rolled over her ATV, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department. She was not wearing a helmet.
The cause of the accident was under investigation.
Wilson was taken to Kootenai Medical Center. She underwent surgery Wednesday night and was listed in fair condition.
