Cherries

Look for: Whole bright fruit without blemishes or splits. Cherries should be firm.

To use: Wash just before eating or pitting.

Best in: Cherries are mostly eaten out of hand, but make wonderful pies, ice cream and jam. They can also be dried to be used in scones, muffins, granola and chutneys.
