$1 million per kid? Not bad

Christie Brinkley’s fiercely combative divorce trial ended Thursday following a week of salacious testimony about her fourth husband’s affair with a teenager and his Internet porn proclivities.

The settlement gives the former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model custody of their two children and some property. Ex-husband Peter Cook gets $2.1 million.

“I’m really glad that today we found some peace,” Brinkley, 54, told reporters as she clutched her son’s elaborate dinosaur diorama, used as trial evidence that she’s a good mother who helped him with his science project.

On Tuesday, a court-appointed psychiatrist said he thought Brinkley should be granted custody of the couple’s 13-year-old son, Jack, and 10-year-old daughter, Sailor.

That followed one embarrassing revelation after another for Cook, while Brinkley largely came across as a caring mother.

“I think it was pretty clear where this case was going, and so it got resolved,” said Brinkley’s lawyer.

As he exited the courthouse, Cook said only: “It’s everything I asked for.”

Hawke and his prey

Ethan Hawke has married his pregnant girlfriend, Ryan Shawhughes, the actor’s publicist said Thursday.

Hawke and Shawhughes, the former nanny to his two children with ex-wife Uma Thurman, wed last month in New York City.

Thurman has announced her engagement to Swiss multimillionaire Arpad “Arki” Busson.

So why did Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban name their new baby Sunday Rose?

“There was a lady named Sunday Reed who was a prominent patron of the arts in (Australia),” says Nicole’s dad, Antony Kidman, adding: “The name Sunday struck me as being a nice name for a woman.”

Rose, meanwhile, is a tribute to Urban’s late grandmother.

Elsewhere on the celebrity baby beat:

Isaac Hanson, the eldest of the singing Hanson brothers, and his wife have welcomed their second son, James Monroe Hanson – who will go by his middle name, just like his 1-year-old brother, Clark Everett Hanson.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are said to be shopping a $16 million deal for exclusive rights to the first photos of their upcoming twins – on the condition that the winning magazine not use the hated moniker “Brangelina.”

$1 million per kid? Not bad

Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney’s little sister, got a cool $1 million from OK! magazine for exclusive photos of her new daughter, according to TMZ.com.

The celebrity Web site also says OK! plans to pay more – as much as $3 million – for pictures of Matthew McConaughey’s new baby, Levi, including photos from his first Christmas.
