Bend breaks RiverHawks’ four-game winning streak
Joe Pratt’s RBI single in the seventh inning Thursday snapped a 6-all tie and led the Bend Elks to an 8-6 win over the Spokane RiverHawks in West Coast Collegiate Baseball League play at Avista Stadium.
Spokane led 4-2 after Aaron Headrick’s RBI double in the fourth. Bend responded with a four-run fifth.
Spokane knotted the game at 6 with a two-run sixth. Mark Purser led off the inning with a homer to left-center and Headrick added a one-out RBI single to left-center.
Bend (11-11) is 4-0 against the RiverHawks this season. Spokane (10-12) ended a four-game winning streak.
