Several area students win EWU scholarships

Eastern Washington University awarded scholarships for the 2008-09 academic year to the following local high school graduates.

Ben Shewchuk received an Itron Scholarship for $2,500. He is a graduate of Northwest Christian School and the son of Allan and Beth Shewchuck of Spokane.

Holly Myers was awarded a $1,200 Helen and Martin Terzieff Scholarship. She is the daughter of Devin and Carol Meyers of Spokane and graduated from University High School.

Brittani Christ was awarded a Robert Bender Memorial Scholarship for $1,800. She is the daughter of Chuck and Colleen Christ of Spokane and is a North Central High School graduate.

Amanda McGillicuddy received an Academic Honors Scholarship for $3,000. She is a graduate of University High School and the daughter of Timothy and Jacque McGillicuddy of Spokane Valley.

Dragana Perkovic was awarded a $2,000 Presidential Scholarship. A graduate of Lewis and Clark High School, Perkovic’s parents are Dragan and Edina Perkovic of Spokane.
