How to spend your summer staycation

With gas and travel costs on the rise, The Spokesman-Review is offering a vacation solution: Stay close to home, have just as much fun and save some money.

Today we debut Stay & Play, a weekly page that will feature entertaining and affordable things to do in the Inland Northwest this summer. We’ll also track average fuel prices in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene.

From day trips to nature hikes to children’s activities, Stay & Play replaces the Northwest Page on Mondays for the summer.

During that time, regional news will continue to be found in the A section of the Monday edition.
