NEW FACES

Dr. Dwight Johnson has become a partner at South Hill Periodontics. He is a board-certified periodontist and holds a specialty certificate in periodontics from Wilford Hall Medical Center, a master’s degree in oral biology from the University of Texas Health Science Center and a doctor of dental dedicine degree from Southern Illinois University.

The American Cancer Society has hired Hugh Severs as executive director to lead fundraising and outreach efforts in Eastern Washington and North Idaho. He previously was director of human resources for SprayCool in Liberty Lake and holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and a master’s degree in logistics and management.

Marianne Reents has been hired as an account manager for Fidelity Associates Financial Services. She has worked in the insurance industry since 1981.

Rockwood Clinic Moran Prairie Family Medicine has hired Dr. Jeffrey Emery. He previously worked for CMA North Family Medicine in Spokane. He holds an undergraduate degree from Westmont College and earned his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Erik Nelson has been hired by Kiemle and Hagood Co.’s Brokerage Division as a sales associate. He is a licensed Realtor in Washington and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Gonzaga University.

The American Cancer Society has hired Alissa Kensok as Eastern Washington grassroots relationship manager. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Whitworth University. Dr. Arnold Honick has been hired by Inland Imaging Associates, PS to join the company’s professional subspecialist radiology team. Honick previously served as the mammography coordinator for Radiology Consultants of Iowa. He is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, earned his medical degree from Georgetown University and completed his radiology residency at the David Grant Medical Center in California.

Terrance Harris has become a partner with Ramsden and Lyons, LLP in North Idaho. He has been an associate attorney with the law firm since 2001.

KUDOS

Humanix Staffing and Recruiting has received a 2008 Community Service Award in the volunteerism category from the Association of Washington Business.

The National Ski Patrol System, Pacific Northwest Division, has awarded Lookout Pass Ski Patrol with the 2007-08 “Outstanding Patrol” award for the Inland Empire Region, for a second consecutive season.

Coeur d’Alene Mines Corp. has been honored with five major safety awards from the International Society of Mine Safety Professionals, for its safety operations, safe worker activities, and overall corporate safety standards.

The Association of Washington Business has given Greater Spokane Incorporated a community service award for its “Teaching the Teachers” campaign.

Diane Packard has received a 2008 Washington State Clinical Practice and Research Award for Excellence from the Washington State Dietetic Association. She works as a research dietitian at Providence Medical Research Center, Sacred Heart Medical Center.

The American Council of Engineering Companies has awarded Welch Comer and Associates Inc. a 2008 engineering excellence award. The Coeur d’Alene-based company also received the water/wastewater engineering excellence award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Idaho for the Gozzer Ranch wastewater treatment and effluent recycling facility.

Jill Andrews has received a 2007 Five Star Elite President’s Club Recognition Award from U.S. Bancorp Investments, Inc. and U.S. Bancorp Insurance Services, LLC. The award acknowledges individuals who have ranked in the top of their district in sales and have displayed outstanding leadership qualities and superior dedication to clients. Andrews works as a financial consultant for the company in Coeur d’Alene.

Quisenberry Marketing and Design received six Bronze Telly Awards at the 29th Annual Telly Awards competition for TV spots produced for Comcast, Coeur d’Alene Casino and Litehouse Foods.

The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys has selected Lynn St. Louis of the Law Offices of Lynn St. Louis PLLC as 2008 member of the year of the Washington chapter. She is president of the Washington chapter of NAELA and has practiced law in Washington for more than 23 years.
