How do I? Jeff Leavitt, of Reardan, asked: “Relating to the autocomplete feature in my Outlook e-mail program, I have suggested addresses that are no longer any good. I removed them from my address book, but they still come up as options when I begin typing addresses. How do I remove the suggested e-mail names?”

For users of Outlook (except Outlook 2007), the autocomplete list is kept in a file called Outlook.nk2 (in the Documents and Settings folder\User name\Application Data\Microsoft\ Outlook).

Download the free tool from www.nk2.info/ and unzip it and run it. Browse to Outlook.nk2 on your drive, load it. You can either edit names or remove them.

Jargon: Packetspace (n.) Data moving to and from devices or to and from wireless computers travel in packets, or small chunks of information. With wireless devices becoming much more common, more and more of our information is moving about in the air, not through wires.

As those Wi-Fi devices proliferate, the area in which those data are bouncing around is a packetspace. The denser the volume of packets, the more disruptions in packet delivery are bound to happen.

Smart Search: A vertical search site tackles a specific area and tries to find all relevant links for that topic. One example in the health field is Healia.com.

It gives you three narrower areas to dive into: general Web results; health publications; and clinical trials. Say you want some clinical trial information on “asthma.” Search and you’ll find hundreds.

Then narrow the focus by searching “asthma Spokane.” You’ll find about a dozen relevant local clinical trials.

Video Challenge: The winner of our .TXT Video Challenge No. 19 is Alyson Roby, of Valleyford. The YouTube video of people catching a steelhead posed the query: To what does the angler compare tossing the fish back into the water? Answer: like throwing a football. Roby gets a $5 coffee card on us.

Video of the week: How to Introduce Your Atheist Partner to Your Evangelical Parents, found at http://tinyurl.com/ 5n43o9. Light viewing for sure. But in this town, we suspect this circumstance comes up from time to time. Video suggestions can be mailed to TXT@ spokesman.com.
