Valley in brief: PTA car wash, rummage sale planned

University Elementary School PTA will hold a car wash and rummage sale June 28 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 1613 S. University Road.

Community members are invited to use this venue to sell their items. The cost to reserve a spot at the rummage sale is $10. A table may be rented for an additional $5. Rummage sale spaces must be reserved by June 20.

LIBERTY LAKE

Free sprinkler workshop offered

Be kind to the aquifer and learn to maximize your sprinkler system at a free workshop from 9 a.m. to noon next Saturday, under the shelter at Liberty Lake Pavillion Park.

You’ll get the run down on adjusting sprinkler heads, setting timers, new products and measuring irrigation output.

A free barbecue will follow. Children are welcome to play in the park’s water features.

Reservations end Wednesday and can be made through Ben Brattebo at 477-7521 or bbrattebo@spokanecounty.org.

The Regional Water Conservation Collaboration is sponsoring the event.
