Art Day for Kids – Friday, for ages 12-15, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at The Jacklin Arts Culture Center at The Old Church, 405 N. William St. Take art lessons from Native American artists, George Flett, Lori SiJohn, and George Hill. Participants will have the opportunity to display their work at a gallery reception on the evening of the event. $20, includes projects, art supplies, and lunch. 457-8950.

Thinning and Pruning Field Day Registration – Deadline is today to register for the event on June 28 at the UI Kootenai County Extension Office, 1808 N. Third St. $5/covers handouts and refreshments. 446-1680.

Post Falls Community Dance – Friday, 7-9 p.m. at Post Falls Senior Center, 1215 E. Third Ave. Featuring entertainment by The Kelly Hughes Band, raffle, and ice cream sundaes. $10/advance, $15 at the door. 773-9582.

Hayden Days – Friday events begin at 4 p.m. with live music, dancing and food and craft vendors at Finucane Park. Saturday includes a 7 a.m. pancake breakfast hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Northern Lakes Fire District personnel at the fire department. Parade begins at 10 at the intersection of Dakota Avenue and Government Way and proceeds south to Prairie Avenue. Classic Car show at noon at Finucane Park. Sunday events include a car and motorcycle show, games, food, entertainment, vendors and bicyclists participating in the Ironman Triathlon competition passing through Hayden on Fourth Street, Honeysuckle Avenue and Government Way. 772-4411.

Summer Antique and Tailgate Extravaganza – Saturday, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Memorial Community Center, 415 Wellington Place, Hope. Annual buying and selling event includes food and bake sale to raise funds to help support the center and the preschool. 264-5481.
