James and Akie Englehardt will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Cathay Inn on Friday.

Hosts for the event will include their children and spouses: Catherine Englehardt, Spokane; Robert and Yuko Englehardt, Spokane Valley; and Bruce and Kunson Englehardt, Arlington, Wash.

The couple were married June 27, 1958, in Tokyo. They have six grandchildren.
