What should you put on your list of Second Half of the Year’s resolutions?
If Jan. 1 was not magically transforming, perhaps you will have better luck with July 1.
For instance, you could resolve to be more like certain movie characters.
Jason Bourne: Sharp, tough and extremely well-traveled.
Ellen Ripley: When most of the guys are useless, it might be up to you to blow the monster out the air lock.
Jerry Maguire: When the workplace culture needs reform, you speak up. And then get fired.
Rick Blaine: You don’t have to be classically good-looking to have style.
Virgil Tibbs: In the end, they have to respect you if you’re smart.
Shane: People will want you to come back.
