Gunman robs North Side adult store

A clerk and two customers at an adult store on the North Side were robbed at gunpoint Friday night.

The robbery occurred about 9:40 p.m. at Hollywood Erotic Boutique, 3813 N. Division St., which sells adult videos, clothing and novelties. Police said officers who searched the neighborhood for a suspect were unsuccessful.

Police said the gunman ordered the customers and clerk to the floor and took an undisclosed amount of money from the clerk. No injuries were reported.

The robber was described as a clean-cut white man with a reddish goatee.

Witnesses said he was no taller than 5-foot-6, in his early to mid- 40s and more than 180 pounds.

He wore a long, cream-colored down coat and black pants with red stripes.
