Hope mayor hears taxpayers wishes

The Spokesman-Review

I wrote (Spokane Valley Mayor Rich Munson) a letter a couple of weeks ago and expressed my feelings on turning Sprague back to a two-way and making Appleway a two-way. I went to the Planning Commission meeting on March 13, and there certainly is not much support for making Sprague two-way and Appleway two-way.

I would certainly hope that (the mayor) and the other council members listen to the taxpayers. Of all the speakers, only one spoke in favor of changing Sprague back to two-way and making Appleway two-way. There were probably 20 or 25 who were in favor of extending Appleway to Liberty Lake and making Sprague a one-way west from Liberty Lake.

Several people waived their chance to speak, as they said their thoughts had already been addressed.

I don’t think that you will ever get a bond passed for anything except extending Appleway one way to Liberty Lake and making Sprague a one-way back.
