In brief: Home-school conference planned

Local home-school support groups will host the Inland Northwest Homeschool Conference at the Valley Assembly of God Church, 15618 E. Broadway Ave., from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

There will be workshops for new home-schoolers, those home-schooling in high school and on specific topics such as teaching literature and history. The keynote speaker is Reb Bradley of Family Ministries in Sheridan, Calif. There also will be a used curriculum sale offering books and materials Friday evening.
