Connection missed

I have been a reader of sports columnist John Blanchette for a number of years. I have found his clever and creative play with words amusing and entertaining.

But I have a question.

What connection does the fire in the Arena scoreboard have with the Women of Faith other than the opportunity to take an uncalled for and cheap shot at Christianity?

Not very sportsmanlike, John, was it?
