Telect has hired Richard Hancock as a system architect for the company’s information systems and technology department. He previously worked for Group Health as a senior programmer/analyst and has over 15 years of computer programming experience.

Dr. John Demakas has begun his new practice at Spokane Brain and Spine. He has practiced neurosurgery for over 25 years in Spokane and previously worked with Inland Neuro and Spine.

H2E Inc., an electrical engineering consulting firm in Liberty Lake, has hired Aaron Drennon as a technician/designer.

Brian Pence has been hired by Cancer Care Northwest as director of radiation and imaging services. He previously worked as manager of Bozeman Deaconess Cancer Center and has many years of related experience.

Cancer Care Northwest has hired William Fisher as chief financial officer. He is a certified public accountant and has over 25 years of health care finance experience. He previously operated a consulting practice assisting health care clients and hospitals.

Trista Soto has been hired by Range as a graphic designer. She previously worked for BHW1 advertising agency and holds a degree in graphic design from Spokane Falls Community College.

Northwest MedStar has hired Brian Rogge as a Perinatal Registered Nurse.

Tim Nicholas has been hired by Baker Construction and Development as a business development director. He will introduce the company’s construction management, general contractor, developer, and design-build services to dental, medical, professional and retail clients.

Range has hired Tyler Botts as a senior Web developer for the company’s Coeur d’Alene office. He is a graduate of Western Washington University with a focus on new media and has five years of related experience.

Melanie Jones has been hired by H2E Inc. as controller. She previously worked for Inland Empire Distribution Systems.

Telect has hired Cindy Dainio as an application engineer. She previously worked for Purcell Systems as a lead product engineer. PROMOTIONS

David Lauder has been promoted by Spokane GeoEngineers to project engineer 2. He previously worked as a project engineer 1.

Taylor Engineering Inc. has promoted Chris Mansfield to principal. He has been with the firm since 2001 and has over 20 years of experience in civil engineering, design, project management, and construction administration.

Nick Raterman has been promoted by Spokane GeoEngineers to staff 2 engineer. He previously worked as a staff 1 engineer. KUDOS

Jennifer Papich has been named Young Professional of the Year by the Washington Recreation and Park Association. She is recreation coordinator for the city of Spokane Valley.

The Spokane Regional Marketing and Communications Association has awarded the following marketing, communications, and public relations professionals with “Brightest Spark Awards”: Ron Nichols, of Natural Resources Conservation Service, for “Wonders of Wildlife” campaign; Diane Mahan, Judy Heggem-Davis, Jean Klündt, Logan and Laurie Olson, of Klündt Hosmer, for “Logan Magazine”; Mary Joan Hahn, of Rockey Hill and Knowlton, Annie Matlow and Elizabeth Thompson of the Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox for the “Light Up the Fox!” campaign.

Larry Kloetsch has received the 2007 Builder of the Year Award from the Spokane Home Builders Association (SHBA). He is president of RSVP Construction and was SHBA president in 2007.

The Department of Health, Office of Drinking Water has recognized Kathy Small as Operator of the Year for her commitment to providing safe and reliable drinking water to customers in Spokane Valley. She is manager of Pasadena Park Irrigation District No. 17.

Adam Holmes, of Creekside Construction and Restoration, has received the 2007 Remodeler of the Year Award from the Spokane Home Builders Association (SHBA). He is chairman of the association’s Remodelers Council. Julie Orchard has been honored with the Association of Washington Business Award for Innovative Benefit/Compensation Programs. She is human resources manager for Skils’kin. APPOINTED

Inland Northwest Health Services has appointed the following new board members: Dr. Andrew Agwunobi of Sacred Heart Medical Center; C.E. “Mickey” Bilbrey, chief executive officer of Empire Health Services; Mike Reilly, community director representing Providence Health Care; and Dr. Brian Seppi of the Spokane County Medical Society.
