May 9

“Police responded to a report of assault at the 700 block of Montag. Grazyna Kadziolka, 53, was arrested.

“A mechanic’s car scanner and a set of license plates were reported stolen at the 2300 block of First Street.

“There was a report of shoplifting at Mitchell’s IGA at the 100 block of W. First Street. The case has been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.

“At the 1300 block of First Street, a television and VCR were reported stolen.

“Paris C. Leighton, 36, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at the 1500 block of Washington. Leighton was also charged with giving false or misleading statements to a police officer.

“There was a violation of a court order reported at the 100 block of First Street. The case was referred to the prosecutor.

“Blaine D. Rochester, 21, was arrested for suspicion of public urination at the 400 block of Second Street.

“A runaway was reported at the 200 block of Holiday. The juvenile was found and returned home.

“A wallet was found at the post office.

May 10

“Police responded to a report of malicious mischief at the 100 block of College Hill. They found some damage done to a fence.

“Police charged two 16-year-old girls with alcohol offenses at the 200 block of S. Cheney-Spangle Road. One of the girls was charged with driving under the influence and being a minor in possession of alcohol. The other was charged as a minor in possession of alcohol.

May 11

“A residential burglary was reported at the 1300 block of First Street. Some cash was reported missing.

“A 10-foot white, plastic boat was reported stolen at the 1500 block of Fourth Street.

“A hit-and-run with an unattended vehicle was reported at the 1600 block of First Street.

“Police arrested Patrick R. Murphy, 21, for suspicion of trespassing at the 100 block of Sixth Street.

“Police received a report of a missing person. Tony R. Moore, 24, was last heard from May 9. He is 6 feet, 4 inches tall, has short, brown hair, green eyes and has some facial stubble.

Moore drives a 1993 red Subaru Justy with license plates 742-SIM. If you have any information about his whereabouts, call the police at 498-9235.

“A theft of some cash was reported at the 600 block of C Street.

May 12

“Police filed a courtesy report for the Wenatchee Police Department. Someone lost a passport.

“Police assisted Child Protection Services at Cheney High School with an emergency placement.

“A runaway was reported at the 1600 block of Fifth Street. The juvenile was found and returned home.

“Blake J. Birdtail, 22, was arrested on two warrants from the Spokane Police Department and one warrant from the Cheney Police Department at the 3400 block of Normal Park Road.

“Michele M. Magalhaes, 19, was arrested for suspicion of driving with a suspended license at the 300 block of Front Street.

May 13

“John R. Tate, 28, was arrested under suspicion of public urination at the 400 block of First Street.

“A 16-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl were arrested at the Cheney Trading Co. The 16-year-old was arrested for suspicion of theft and being a minor in the possession of alcohol. The 13-year-old was arrested for suspicion of theft.

“A custom-made, black Kona Kahuna bicycle valued over $1,500 was reported stolen at the 800 block of W. First Street.

“Ronald L. Ricci, 18, was arrested under the suspicion of domestic violence assault at the 2200 block of First Street.

May 14

“A 17-year-old male was arrested for suspicion of driving with a suspended license at the 600 block of W. First Street.

“Police responded to a report of illegal dumping at the 2800 block of Al Ogdon. Someone dumped a benchlike seat from a motor vehicle.

“Anthony L. Fields, 20, and Tony M. Dailey, 18, were arrested under the suspicion of possession of marijuana at the 900 block of Washington.

“Police responded to an incident of domestic violence at the 500 block of N. Sixth Street. The incident was a verbal one.

May 15

“There was a report of a residential burglary at the 200 block of Simpson Parkway. A laptop computer was reported stolen.

“Police served an arrest warrant for an outside agency at the 1300 block of First Street. Brian B. Van Buren, 18, was picked up on a warrant from the Spokane County Juvenile Court for failure to appear.

“Jerald K. Rosenberger, 64, was arrested for suspicion of assault at the 100 block of H Street.

“A dark blue bicycle was found at the 1300 block of Third Street.

May 16

“Demetria M. Bass, 29, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at the 900 block of First Street.
