In brief: Farmers’ market opens Monday

The Downtown Farmers’ Market, located on Fifth and Sherman Avenue in Coeur d’Alene will open on Memorial Day, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Fresh produce, baked goods, plants, fresh cut flowers, and crafts will be for sale, and performers will entertain.

Silverwood offers free admission

Military personnel, police and firefighters with a valid identification will receive free admission to Silverwood Theme Park Memorial Day Weekend. In addition, immediate family members of service personnel will receive half-price admission when purchasing tickets at the front gate. Spouses of military men and women who are deployed will receive half-price admission.

Coeur d’Alene NIC hosting business workshops

The North Idaho College Training Center is hosting two workshops. On Wednesday, Business Loan Briefing will be held from noon to 1 p.m. The cost is $9.

Managing Your Operations for Profit will be held Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $29.

Both workshops will be held at the Training Center. Advance registration is required. Call 769-3333 to register and for information.

Sandpoint

‘Lottery’ yoga class next Saturday

Next Saturday Sandpoint Yoga Studio, 1309 Ponderosa Drive, Suite 202, will hold a “lottery” yoga class from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

It’s a lottery because the class is free, but donations are welcome. Each student will write his or her favorite charity on a slip of paper that will go into a drawing to select which charity receives the money donated.

All ages, levels of fitness and yoga experience are welcome.
