DANIEL TE’O-NESHEIM UW defensive end

The junior is the Husky pass rush. He has recorded six of their 10 sacks, and is the one Husky who has to be accounted for on each play. At 6-foot-4 and 263 pounds, he’s not huge, but he doesn’t seem to be wearing down. In the last two games, he’s had 12 tackles, three sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss. Te’o-Nesheim was the Washington defensive MVP last season and is on track to win that honor again.

Devin Frischknecht WSU tight end

Going into the Apple Cup last year, Frischknecht was just an afterthought in the Cougars’ passing game, a fourth option behind Michael Bumpus, Charles Dillon and Brandon Gibson. But with the Huskies focusing outside, Frischknecht caught five passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns in a breakout game. The senior has been hampered by injuries this season and has just 14 catches for 74 yards and one touchdown.

D’ANDRE GOODWIN UW receiver

The sophomore is the Huskies’ top pass catcher, having grabbed 53 receptions (Jermaine Kearse is next with 19). He’s also played well against good teams, catching nine balls vs. Oklahoma and putting up a season-high 136 yards against Oregon State. But last week, as the UW passing game collapsed against UCLA, he caught four passes for 13 yards. He’ll have to step up today for the Huskies to have a shot.
