Fairfield City Council – The town received a $500 grant from Avista for the Community Center. The council voted to change the Community Center rental rates to $75 for four hours and $150 for all day. It also discussed purchasing sand and salt for roads and the proposed 2009 budget. The budget is set for approval at the Dec. 2 meeting. Rockford City Council – The town is inviting people to bring outdoor Christmas lights to the city park at 1 p.m. next Saturday to decorate a tree. The lighting ceremony will follow at 5 p.m. (Source: Town clerk)
