Eastern game sold out

All available tickets for Saturday’s Big Sky Conference football game featuring Montana against Eastern Washington at Woodward Field in Cheney have been sold out and additional bleachers are being set up to accommodate a crowd of 10,840.

The Woodward attendance record of 11,563 was set two years ago.

This is the seventh time in the last 13 meetings that both teams have entered the game nationally ranked, but both lost last week, the Eagles 47-36 to Portland State and Montana 45-28 to Weber State.

The game will be televised on KSKN Channel 22 in Spokane. Game time is 2:05 p.m.

The Eagles shared the 2004 and 2005 Big Sky titles with Montana, which has won or shared every conference title since 1998. EWU was outright winner in 1997. Montana has dominated the series 23-10-1, winning last year 24-23 on a field goal with 26 seconds remaining despite being outgained in total yardage by Eastern.
