Witnesses to shooting at nightclub sought

From staff reports

Police are looking for witnesses and victims after shots were fired Wednesday morning at a north Spokane nightclub, officials said Friday.

A man fired a gun into a parking lot and pointed it at several people about 1 a.m. Wednesday at Elements, 21 E. Lincoln Road, said Spokane police Officer Tim Moses. The man was shouting, claiming gang affiliation, as he got back into his car. No injuries were reported, Moses said.

The incident began when two women started to fight outside the club, Moses said. The shooter got out of his car and assaulted one of them, police said.

The man fired his gun into the ground, then started waving it around at people, Moses said.

Police ask anyone with any information about the case to call (509) 625-4264. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
