Spokane’s Ehler wins NW public links

Bowdy Ehler of Spokane carded the low round of the championship with a 3-under par 69 on Sunday, then won a playoff to capture the 25th Pacific Northwest Golf Association’s Men’s Amateur Public Links at Hangman Valley Golf Course.

Ehler defeated Kyle Crawford of Coos Bay, Ore., on the fourth hole of the playoff.

Kate Hildahl of Tualatin, Ore. won the women’s event.

In the men’s senior division, Kent Brown of Colville had a successful three-peat, finishing at 4-under par 140 to win by four strokes. His final round included an eagle on the par-4 first hole.
