Boy Scouts hold open house Sunday

Boy Scout Troop 71 invites the public and prospective Scouts to its “Ropealooza” open house on Sunday at Shiloh Hills Fellowship, 207 E. Lincoln Road, to see the rope bridge, ideal campsite, merry-go-round and archway it has built.

The troop of 10 boys and five leaders, all of whom are Eagle Scouts, will spend Saturday setting up the open house, then return Sunday. Last year, the troop constructed a 35-foot tower using only poles, rope and knot-tying skills.
