Fairfield City Council – The council sent the rental rates for the Community Center at $100 per day for local residents, $200 per day for nonresidents and $50 for four hours. The council approved an agreement with Century West Engineering for work at the wastewater treatment facility and also approved a five-year renewal of the rental agreement with the post office. The town recently had to pay $7,000 to clear a sewer line plugged with nondisposable baby wipes. An executive session was held to discuss personnel and legal issues. (Source: Town clerk Mary Kinsey)

Rockford City Council – The town has received three applications for a position on the planning commission. The council discussed forming a student advisory council and creating a sister city relationship with a city in British Columbia. A public hearing will be held during the next council meeting on proposed amendments to zoning and development regulations. (Source: Town clerk)
