Sitcom ‘Engvall Show’ will return for third season

From wire reports

TBS has decided not to mess with success, picking up a third season of its solidly rated sitcom “The Bill Engvall Show.”

The cable channel has ordered 10 more episodes of the show, which stars comedian Engvall as a family counselor and Nancy Travis as his wife. The new season will debut in the summer of 2009, but fans of the show won’t have to wait quite that long for a fix: TBS is also producing two holiday episodes of the series to air in December.

“There’s something about this cast and this show that gives you a good feeling inside, which is probably why it’s won the hearts of so many viewers,” Turner’s Michael Wright says. “Their dedication to continually growing the show is evident in the work, and we look forward to a new season of even funnier episodes.”
