Eagles sweep MSU

Home sweet home.

The Eastern Washington Eagles opened the home portion of their schedule with a 25-14, 25-16, 25-16 win over Montana State (6-7, 2-1 Big Sky Conference) on Thursday night in Cheney.

Hayley Hills led all players with 13 kills and Ashley Hamilton had 31 assists for EWU (5-7, 2-1). Mandy Daniels added a match-high nine digs.

•Lindsey Yon’s 14 kills and Krystal Torres’ 17 digs led New Mexico State to a 25-19, 25-18, 25-15 sweep of Idaho in Moscow.

Kelsey James dished out 17 assists for the Vandals (7-6, 0-2 Western Athletic Conference).

The Aggies improved to 8-6 and 3-0 in WAC play.
