That’s no Mickey Mouse lineup

Disney has signed on quite the series of stars for its upcoming movies, from Jim Carrey as Ebenezer Scrooge to Johnny Depp as Tonto to Oprah Winfrey as a princess’ mother.

In his first Disney film, a 3-D motion capture remake of “A Christmas Carol,” Carrey plays seven characters including Scrooge.

“It’s pretty much just a party, and everyone’s invited,” he says.

In addition to the Indian sidekick in a “Lone Ranger” remake, Depp – a big hit as Capt. Jack Sparrow in Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” films – will play the Mad Hatter in a Tim Burton remake of “Alice in Wonderland.”

“Believe me, any time this guy wears a funny hat, it’s good news for Disney,” said Disney Studios Chairman Dick Cook.

Winfrey will voice the character of Eudora in a hand-drawn animated movie set in New Orleans, “The Princess and the Frog.”

The film features an African American heroine, Tiana, played by Anika Noni Rose. Winfrey plays Tiana’s mother in the movie set for release on Christmas Day, 2009.

Other projects include a sequel to the 1982 sci-fi flick “Tron.”

Not quite the fall guy

David Blaine is unhappy with how he ended his latest stunt, hanging upside-down without a net high over Central Park for 60 hours.

“I had dreamed up the most amazing ending for a stunt ever,” he said on Thursday’s “Live With Regis and Kelly”: diving from a platform 44 feet off the ground and, at 10 feet, being swept away by helium-filled balloons.

Instead, he dangled awkwardly for a moment before being pulled up into the night sky.

Meet mini-Reege

Regis Philbin has lost the “Best Regis” award yet again, and this time, it’s personal: The winner is his infant grandson, William Xavier.

The 7-month-old bested Philbin for the honor Thursday in the sixth annual Relly Awards – Philbin’s version of the Emmys.

Previous winners included comedians Darrell Hammond and Jimmy Fallon, and actor Mark Consuelos, co-host Kelly Ripa’s husband.

It’s “Hey-o!,” yo!

Ed McMahon has an unexpected new job title: rapper.

The 85-year-old former “Tonight Show” sidekick will star in two viral rap videos for FreeCreditReport.com, a financial Web site owned by credit bureau Experian.

They feature McMahon wearing a tracksuit, being chauffeured around Los Angeles in a Cadillac Escalade golf cart and waxing lyrical about his very public financial troubles.

Asked if he’d consider releasing a full-length rap album, McMahon said: “Not immediately.”
