EWU backers show they know how to get party started

For many football fans, the game is just the icing. The cake is the tailgate party – an opportunity to roll out the Astroturf and camping chairs, fire up the grill and breathe in the crisp fall air with friends and family.

Last Saturday, Eastern Washington University fans packed the Woodward Field parking lot in anticipation of the Eagles’ home opener against Western Washington University, undeterred by threatening gray skies.

Eastern won the game, 52-31.
